Eat cake, drink tea and learn to make bunting FOR CHARITY: #epicwin
Bizarrely, if you don’t think bright red fake plastic noses (this year, with legs and pointy teeth) are the ‘it’ accessory for spring, BUT still want to raise money for Red Nose Day, don’t despair…
…Sew in Brighton have a fun way to raise money.
No, really, it’s actually fun. And I don’t mean sitting in a bath of baked beans fun, or running 12 miles blisteringly fun, I mean actually FUN.
They are holding a Buntathon (Bunting Marathon, gettit?) on Saturday 16th, 12pm – 4pm – which is essentially lots of friendly types having a giggle whilst sewing bunting, drinking rosehip tea and (probably) nibbling cake.
Participants simply pay £2 to participate, with the money going to Red Nose Day. What’s extra super lovely is that the finished bunting will be donated to The Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital in Brighton – kill two birds with one stone (or maybe heal two birds with one…never mind).
Sew in Brighton tutors will also be giving up their time to teach beginners how to make bunting – so really you’re killing three birds with one stone. But, if you’re more the ‘pack a kitchen sink’ prepared type, watch this brilliant bunting tutorial here:
